Brett G. Tollman is a long-standing professional in the travel and tourism industry. He is third generation in the hotel business and has over 30 years of experience in this field. In his newest position he has been appointed Chief Executive and President of The Travel Corporation (TTC), a company that provides and recommends tourism professionals and services to the international tourism industry. With his collaborative management style of leadership he encourages and strengthens employee trust and engagement. In conjunction with this appointment, he moved with his wife and three children to Los Angeles in July 2010, where he will work from the Uniworld and Travcorp USA California offices.

 

The Travel Corporation is a world leader in providing high quality tourism packages and operators. The company represents hotels around the world as well as travel operators who specialize in the niche travel market. The companies that TTC works with offer outstanding travel packages that include river cruises, escorted coach tours and independent sightseeing trips. TTC concentrates its efforts on client satisfaction and meeting the criteria demanded in a specialty travel market. Included in the list of award winning tourism companies represented by TTC are Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, AAT Kings, Contiki Holidays, Insight Vacations and Trafalgar Tours. Another company, Red Carnation Hotels, operates 12 small luxury boutique hotels in Europe, South Africa and the United States. According to Brett G. Tollman, the company continues to look for opportunities to increase their collection of special hotels that can meet the specific needs of the niche traveler. Brett G. Tollman started working with Red Carnation Hotels in the early nineties and is CEO of that company. He oversees the sales and marketing aspect of the business as well as capital investment, public relations, and property oversight and management.

 

Brett Tollman also has previous experience working as Managing Director of a number of companies overseeing European tour operator services companies and making local travel arrangements for visitors to Europe.

 

Before working with The Travel Corporation, Brett G. Tollman worked at T-H Hotels, a New York based private company. As president and COO, he handled all operations, sales and marketing needs and ground maintenance for the three star hotels managed by T-H.

 

Professional Memberships

 

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) is an international tourism forum that researches and addresses the intricacies of the travel industry. Brett G. Tollman is a member of WTTC’s executive committee and holds the position of vice chairman of membership.

 

With a growing concern for the well being of ecologically fragile tourism sites, Brett G. Tollman helped establish the Conservation Foundation of The Travel Corporation. The non-profit organization is helping protect and preserve destinations where clients of the company travel to, and also to help build awareness of the importance of all travelers reducing their respective carbon footprints when on vacation.

 

As a well-known professional in his field, Brett G. Tollman takes pride in sharing his business expertise with others. He does this through a number of mentoring programs with individuals within the company and through the Young President's Organization, a non-profit group comprised of presidents of international businesses around the globe. In their meetings they convey ideas and educational opportunities to fellow members. Brett G. Tollman is a member of the international chapters.

Brett G. Tollman was born in South Africa and educated at Rugby. He continued his studies at Cornell where earned a BSc in hotel management.
